"Sizing was kind of off for me"
I ordered based on the fit guide, but the size ended up feeling sort of wrong on me. The quality wasn’t terrible or anything, just not really the issue. The sizing info didn’t help as much as I expected, so I had to go through an exchange, which was a bit annoying. I just wish there were clearer measurements or some more real-life fit notes, because when you’re ordering online, you’re kind of relying on that stuff.

Checkout did work in the end, so no major complaints! But the pages were loading slowly, and I had to type in my shipping info again once, which was kind of annoying

"I wasn’t really thrilled with my experience..."
I wasn’t really thrilled with my experience overall. The site felt kind of clunky, and I had to click around more than I’d like just to find basic information. When I’m deciding whether to use a service, I’m cautious, so slow responses and unclear details make me hesitate. The prices seemed reasonable enough, but the whole process felt like more work and uncertainty than I was comfortable with. It might be fine for someone else, but it didn’t give me a lot of confidence.

"Shipping was quicker than I expected"
I ordered from trailheadpaddleshack.ca the shipping was solid. I got a tracking email the next day, which was a nice little surprise and made the whole thing feel easy.
The package arrived in about a week, and everything was packed well. Nothing was damaged, nothing was missing, and it all showed up just like it should, so I was happy with that.
I’m only giving 4 stars because the tracking didn’t really update for a couple of days, but aside from that, it was a smooth order overall. I’d definitely feel comfortable ordering from them again.

"Warranty help was surprisingly easy"
I had an issue with my paddle and reached out about the warranty. They took care of it quickly and didn’t give me the runaround at all (which I really appreciated). Super easy process overall

I chose local pickup thinking it would be quick and easy but it ended up taking longer than I expected and I was just kind of standing around waiting which was a little annoying...

"It worked, just not as smoothly as I expected"
I was able to find what I needed, so the site does the job. I guess I just expected the whole process to feel a bit more straightforward. Browsing was fine, but checkout threw me off a little and felt more clunky than it should have.

"Good shop, helpful staff in person"
I stopped by Trailhead Paddle Shack to check out paddles and a dry bag before a weekend trip, and overall it was a good visit. The guy working there was friendly and didnt rush me while I looked around, which I really appreciated.
They had a decent selection in the store, and he helped me compare a couple different options without trying to push me toward the most expensive one. Prices seemed fair enough for what they had.
The only reason its not 5 stars is that it took me a little while to find someone when I first walked in. Other than that, it was a good experience and Id go back.

"I took this paddle out a few times..."
I took this paddle out a few times the blade felt like it flexed more than I expected. Maybe it’s just my preference, but it made the paddle feel a little off while using it. I’m not sure if others have noticed the same thing, but it wasn’t quite the feel I was hoping for.

I ordered two paddle leashes and a dry bag, and everything showed up just how I picked it. The colours and sizes were all right, and there were no mix-ups at all. Even the packing slip matched perfectly. I’m happy about it since I’ve definitely had the wrong gear sent from other shops before...

I had my paddle repaired here and they did a really good job. The staff walked me through what they fixed, and it feels great out on the water again :) The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because it ended up taking a couple days longer than they originally said. Overall though, I’m still happy with how it turned out!

I went in not really sure which paddle would work best with my kayak, and the staff explained everything in a way that actually made sense, you know? I didn’t feel rushed or like they were just trying to steer me toward the most expensive option, which I really appreciated. I’m giving it 4 stars because checkout was a little slow, but overall it was a good experience...

I looked around at a few different shops before ordering from Trailhead Paddle Shack, and their prices seemed really fair. They weren’t magically half the price of everyone else or anything, but it felt honest, and the final total didn’t make me question reality.
Shipping and taxes were laid out clearly too, which I really appreciated. No weird last-minute fees popping up like a trap door at checkout. Overall, super straightforward experience, and I’d definitely order from them again.

"Holding Up Well So Far"
I’ve had these boards and kayaks for a bit now, and so far they’ve been solid. They feel sturdy and have held up well with regular use. If you’re looking around and comparing options, I’d say these are worth considering, especially if you want something that feels reliable without overthinking it too much.

I was able to find most of what I was looking for, and I appreciated how well-stocked the basics were. The shelves were easy to browse, and a few items I usually have trouble finding were actually available, which was a nice surprise

Overall, I’m happy with it. It feels sturdy and well made, which is something I’m picky about. The only thing I noticed was a small scratch, but it’s not a huge deal for me.

"A good first paddle lesson, just a little quick"
I booked a paddle lesson not really knowing what to expect, and I was a bit nervous at first. The instructor was really patient and took the time to explain things in a way that made me feel more comfortable on the water. Once I got going, I started to enjoy it a lot more than I expected. The only thing is that the lesson felt a little rushed toward the end, like we were trying to squeeze everything in before time was up. Overall though, it was a good experience and I’m glad I tried it.

"Packaging brought back a nervous memory"
My paddle did arrive in one piece, so I’ll give credit for that. But when I saw the box on my doorstep, it reminded me of a time years ago when I opened a beat-up package and found the item inside cracked. The corners were dented, and the tape looked like it was barely hanging on, so I had that little worried feeling before I even opened it.
Luckily, nothing inside was damaged, which was a relief. Still, for something like a paddle, I expected the shipping to feel a bit more secure. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but the packaging could definitely use a little more care.
